ALTAPOINT DATA SYSTEMS, LLC – HISTORY

AltaPoint Data Systems was founded in 1996 by entrepreneur/developer Douglas E. Lyman, and provides Practice Management Systems for Medical, Optometric/Ophthalmologic, Chiropractic, Dental, Legal, and Veterinary markets. Recognizing a specific need in the modern physician office, AltaPoint is successfully selling and marketing its most ambitious project to date: an integrated EMR - Practice Management Software System.

AltaPoint was first among its closest competitors:

To create an interface to a handheld device – PalmPilot.
To create a TWAIN interface for direct image captures.
To include Inventory Tracking & Sales Tax Reporting.
To include integrated Spell Checking.
To create an integrated Electronic Medical Records package.
To include integrated Voice Recording for Dictation.
